Le style n\u00e9ogothique adopt\u00e9, fortement influenc\u00e9 par la formule du manoir anglais, r\u00e9pondait au go\u00fbt de l&#8217;\u00e9poque. Louis II lui m\u00eame, r\u00eava dans ce d\u00e9cor une grande partie de sa jeunesse. Les photos sont malheureusement interdites \u00e0 l&#8217;int\u00e9rieur du ch\u00e2teau, comme dans tous les ch\u00e2teaux royaux de la Bavi\u00e8re. Des fresques murales sur tous les murs relatent les batailles et l\u2019histoire de cet ancien ch\u00e2teau fort. Le mobilier est de style Biedermeier et s\u2019int\u00e8gre dans le style chevaleresque de ce ch\u00e2teau. D\u00e9coration charg\u00e9e, ambiance assez sombre.
